Deep Dive Tasting Alpine Wines

$55.00

The Deep Dive is a new tasting series where we’ll focus on one producer or region and go deep!

With the Winter Olympics in full swing, we decided this is the perfect time to Deep Dive into Alpine wines! Alpine wines come from the cooler climates of the mountain areas of Europe - eastern France, Northern Italy, Austria, and Germany. These areas tend to produce crisp whites and light reds. Despite sounding counter intuitive, they are actually great to drink during winter.  They really resonate with the season. They’re made in places that have big winters, so vines and wines have an affinity for the cold. We enjoy drinking these wines in Febraury because they make us feel alive, even if the weather sometimes makes us want to hibernate (single digit temperatures and biting wind, anyone?). We’ll enjoy 7 wines from around Europe highlighting some of the grapes, winemakers and regions that mean a lot to us. We’ll discuss what’s so special about these wines, wine makers and beautiful regions while answering all of your burning wine questions. If you like the wines we pour at Pulling Corks, you won’t want to miss this tasting!

Here are the wines we’ll be enjoying:

Jurtschitsch Grüner Veltliner Urgestein 2023 $25

Eva Kricke Keidrich Riesling Trocken 2023 $48
